In the Horgon Era, the term "Storm Lord" came into usage for the storm giants ruling areas of Kerthjorg. When the Aslauthroan Empire (9 HE - 1891 HE) rose to power, these Storm Lords functioned as feudal lords. Beneath them were Storm Dukes who assisted in managing the empire's five principalities.
