Fihrreah was established by illithid colonists serving the elder brain Berb'othe. Their primary source of sustenance were the drow of Filion'lyr. When the aboleth moved into the expansive lake encompassing Hlat'tar, the illithid's fortunes shifted, becoming prey for the aboleth.
In 1891 HE, the thriving city of Fihrreah succumbed to the relentless slave armies of Gon'tora. Sensing the imminent demise of Fihrreah, its elder brain Berb'othe wisely split off two buds weeks before the city's collapse, ensuring these nascent elder brains were transported to establish a new colony in more favorable regions. One of these budding elder brains, Enen'kykha, ventured eastward with her illithids and founded the settlement of Ginrall.
