The Gonak forest, situated south of Khirrêth and east of Tanulbazar, is a dense temperate woodland. Boasting numerous lumber camps, the forest is exploited for its valuable timber, including black ash, oak, and basswood. Skilled druids, versed in the application of nature energy, are employed to replenish resources and oversee the forest's management for maximum profitability. These druids, devoted to the tenets of Melrith, consider harmony with animals and insects to be of secondary importance.
The principal purchasers of Gonak's timber are the renowned shipyards of Bandunazân, the preeminent port city of the Khazarkar Empire.
The forest is also renowned for its Gonak Silkworms. These colossal creatures, a hundred times greater in size than the common silkworm, are found exclusively in the eastern forests of Cinazan. Generating a substantial quantity of silk, they pose a significant risk. Their potent venom can incapacitate, and has claimed the lives of many solo harvesters. Nonetheless, Gonak Silk remains a major export commodity for the Khazarkar Empire.
