Idrongrun is a vast swamp situated in the southern reaches of the valley of Mauhúl. This expansive wetland serves as a haven for a diverse array of insects, some of which are undead swarms. Even the most resilient creatures have fallen victim to terminal diseases in this wretched, odorous marshland. Trolls and black dragons reign as the apex predators of Idrongrun, with some of these formidable beings conscripted into the armies of the Orchish Empire. The black dragons of this wetland frequently engage in conflict with the numerous blue dragons emerging from the Giant Steps. Idrongrun borders the Foronir river, whose substantial flow of water is the primary factor contributing to the swamp's expansive size.
Beyond the perilous hazards of the swamp, there also exist natural threats such as treacherous quicksand, debilitating diseases, and a profusion of hydrogen pods.
