The easternmost vale of the Elephant Backbone is home to Lacaran. Draining towards the coasts with its pockets of hot springs and geysers, it serves as the domain of hydras, dire crocodiles, will-o-wisps, and various other monstrosities. At the point where the swamp empties into the sea, abundant schools of fish and sprawling reefs can be found.
