Elementals manifest in diverse forms and dimensions. The primordials designated them by their essence - those of earth energy as earth elementals, those of the flame as fire elementals, the Water Elemental, and the air elemental. Advancements upon the base elementals led to a more entropic branch known as the chaos archons. The mephit represents another elemental offshoot. Other notable varieties include lava children and the magmin.

Base elementals possess the most extensive lifespans among all elementals. They can persist for millennia before their earthen composition degrades into fine granules of sand. Likewise, when a fire elemental's time comes to an end, they fade into smoke, water elementals evaporate, and air elementals dissipate into the atmosphere.

Base elementals generally remain indifferent to the affairs transpiring in the surrounding cosmos. Archons, on the other hand, are entities of either entropy or its antithesis. Archons possess greater prowess in the arcane arts, boasting a broader spectrum of magical capabilities. Unlike their base elemental counterparts, archons assume fixed, invariable forms. They more closely resemble the bipedal races that the Creationists appeared particularly fond of crafting - humans, dwarves, elves, orcs, and the like.
