Meshond is an ancient bastion constructed during the God Era. It was built by Danzar-Khâl and a skilled force of Turkûn. The stronghold was erected to monitor the desolate wastes of Sava'khar and remain vigilant for any primordial awakening or the escape of them and their minions.
When the Dûlan-Nûl Firestorm descended upon Gorejun, the basin of Malurn was formed from a single, colossal impact. The Gûrkimâdda describe a radiant blue cloud that detonated over the land, possessing all the qualities of a divine magical emanation. They would come to understand that this mystical blast originated from the annihilation of the World Splitter within one of the rocks that rained down upon the lowlands.
The gods' departure from the realm placed Meshond under the vigilant supervision of an elite force known as the Gûrkimâdda. Since the God Era, this group has expanded significantly in number. Some dwarves in distant lands possess bloodlines tracing back to those who departed Meshond and established settlements elsewhere.
Meshond is an immense and formidable fortress where majestic dragons can soar through the grand halls, and titans standing three spans high can traverse with ease. The walls are impressively thick, reaching several hundred feet in certain areas, and contain innumerable chambers and passages constructed over the course of millennia. The siege engines positioned atop and within the walls vary in size, but the mightiest of these are colossal war machines designed to engage in battle with Primordial behemoths. These weapons are so immense that they required the operation of specially forged golems. These siege golems, though slow and ponderous, serve as invaluable immobile loaders for the enormous ballistas, catapults, and trebuchets.
