Angel Glass Spawn

The remarkable species of fish known as Angel Glass inhabits the Underdark lakes and subterranean seas of southern Brucrumus. These creatures derive their name from their translucent, glass-like bodies and distinctive flipper-like wings, which enable them to glide considerable distances through the air. They utilize these appendages to navigate upstream through rivers, seeking appropriate locations for egg deposition. Over the final three months of each year, these fish undertake their migration through underground channels to spawn—a phenomenon referred to as the Angel Glass Spawn. Numerous Underdark fishing villages and even substantial cities have been established in proximity to these spawning grounds. Following the completion of egg-laying, fishermen endeavor to capture the Angel Glass during their downstream return journey. It is during this arduous return that many of these creatures succumb to exhaustion, weakened by the combined demands of their upstream migration and the taxing process of reproduction.
