In 1751 HE, with a river to the north and verdant coasts to the south, this area served as a seasonal camp for fishermen hailing from the city of Hagurthand. For three months each year, they would gather here to take part in the Angel Glass Spawn. During this time, Camp Tharuzbaluk transformed into a bustling haven for fishermen, merchants, gambling, prostitution, and criminal activity. Over the ensuing century, undeterred by the risks posed by Shoglomph slavers and other dangers of the Green Nebulous, the camp evolved into a permanent settlement, growing from a small town into a prosperous, independent city-state. Boasting a more advantageous location than Hagurthand, Tharuzbaluk became a thriving commercial hub, facilitating trade by both land and sea.

The economic success of Tharuzbaluk had long been coveted, but in 3 Hollow 1888 HE, the city fell to the much-feared marines of Hagurthand, besieged by river, land, and sea. In accordance with tradition, they sold off a tenth of the city's population to eager slavers from Shoglomph and other grim locales.

The leadership of Hagurthand is accountable solely to their own populace, not beholden to the edicts of a distant authority over 150 miles away.

We cover our own defense and administrative expenditures, merely a subordinate state as we provide the majority of the treasury's resources. Rise up and heed the summons, liberate Tharuzbaluk!

Kûn Malak, the stirrer of independence - "Liberate Tharuzbaluk"

In the Year 20, Tharuzbaluk declared independence and initiated the Lost Scion War (20 - 77). Decades later, following Tharuzbaluk's capture, a republic was established with Tharuzbaluk, Hagurthand, Arazindam, and Duluk-Zirag united under the Irdtrax Republic. Tharuzbaluk was made the capital, to the conquered's satisfaction.
