Zenal-Tarush is a bardic college established during the tumultuous times when the Volgads fought for their survival at Aphelzâk. It is the first college on Bal-Kriav dedicated to music and the teaching of bardic lore through tales and melodies. In its early history in Aettein, it primarily focused on boosting morale and inspiring the populace, especially the military. The renowned military band Yônêrik was formed from members of the college. When Aphelzâk fell in 527 HE, the college's members had abandoned the city for the safety of the distant lands of Magrâbik. The college was then re-established at Nizgimân and continues to be the premier institution for bardic training and musical study.
