Nizgimân is the heavily fortified capital city of Tamlêrran. The city's outer walls are constructed with massive blades mounted on tracks that can be magically maneuvered along the base of the walls. These defensive features were added to the walls at great expense to combat the menace of the remarkably powerful foes that occasionally threaten the city - namely, armies of giants. The walls of the city are patrolled by the elite troops of the Kamlêth-Girân. Supplementing this specialized unit are the regular city guard and specially constructed golems built for hurling boulders. The most formidable defense of Nizgimân, however, is the city's potent magic. Guards have access to wands imbued with the elemental powers of fire, cold, and lightning, as well as wands capable of dispelling magic and creating protective barriers. Tamlêrran also boasts the highest concentration of magic-wielding individuals in the realm, enabling the city to call upon thousands of skilled spellcasters.
The concerted fire-power of Nizgimân would captivate the senses, leaving one awestruck, as if transported to the realm of the divine. Volleys of arcane missiles from hundreds of spellcasters, unending ice storms, and barrages of fireballs streaking across the sky - any arcanist would surely believe the Web of Magic would strain and rupture. Yet it does not, for the wizards of this far northern region possess a mastery of the Web that rivals the venerable Lith-Crillion web weavers of ancient times.
Garastar Tîr, emissary from the Council of Bile
The city's air defenses consist of skyships, squadrons of griffon-mounted warriors, and cloud rays. The cloud rays are employed to seize giants and subsequently release them from substantial altitudes.
