Ahnutrix, the offspring of the legendary red dragon Balta'khar, is a second-generation member of the Gral Wahliik lineage. During the First Dragon Wake ( 218 GE - 235 GE ) , he served as a general under the command of Tiamat.

She regained prominence during the Lith-Crillion Era. Around the time of the Kilth Deeps War ( 614 LE - 623 LE ) , Ahnutrix and her two siblings became known as the Reds of Kilth. Putting aside intense rivalries, the three ancient red dragons then conquered eastern Ma'Ohari and the black depths below.

From 623 LE until the conclusion of their rule three centuries later, Ahnutrix and her brothers Onairion and Urkra'gom produced a multitude of sons and daughters. They encountered minimal difficulty in attracting suitors, being widely renowned, and crucially, descended from only two lines of Tiamat ; a pedigree highly valued in that era.
