For an extended period, the city of Frosvirk served as the epicenter of necromancy research. One of the notable innovations developed within this city is the Frosvirk Sarcophagus. These devices are crafted from Kindlite, a stone remarkably adept at storing negative energy. Given that undead entities are rejuvenated by this form of energy, the Frosvirk Sarcophagus was engineered to restore them. These sarcophagi can heal undead through a bed of negative energy, restoring 20 hit points per day and repairing a limb within three days and an entire torso in six.

Frosvirk Sarcophagi are notoriously arduous to construct. This is due to the substantial quantity of adverse energy they possess, which, without appropriate safeguarding, inflicts harm upon those of life energy.

At the base of the stairs, two minotaur warriors salute him with fists clenched across their chests. One unlocks the door and steps back, followed by Rax inserting his key, which activates another locking mechanism. The 15-foot-square chamber has stone walls adorned with panels of ebony and rosewood. In the center stands an upright sarcophagus, an ancient vessel designed and enchanted to heal the undead. Rax removes his ornate battle plate and places it on a nearby mannequin. Lifting the sarcophagus lid, he is met by a wave of negative energy. He retreats into this ethereal blanket, closing the lid before him. Focusing on calming his mind, he allows the magical device to work its effects, murmuring long after his consciousness has drifted into slumber, "One soul, two souls, three souls, four souls, five souls... one hundred and ninety-eight souls."
