Gestosu is a cursed land within the region of Padimza. During the Horgon Era, Demacian shamans utilized magic to intertwine the essence of Shou spirits into their armor. This practice of corrupting spirits and binding them, rather than allowing them to roam freely, was an egregious offense to the Shou. This precipitated a profound enmity between the two peoples, which has persisted to this day. The desecration of Gestosu and the creation of powerful undead entities, activated whenever someone wearing Gestosu Chain perishes, are the lasting consequences of this conflict.
The links are a labyrinth for the spirit, its flight to escape propelling it in some sinister manner. It is a prison for a Shou ancestor that would otherwise be at liberty to roam and shepherd the living.
Gitel Huekil, from the book Dead Ancestors of Gestosu - "Fell Chain" Gitel Huekil, a figure detailed in the tome Dead Ancestors of Gestosu, appears in the chapter entitled "Fell Chain" The narrative describes Huekil's life and role within the historical context of Gestosu
Gestosu Chain is a +3 chain mail armor. It can be imbued with greater magical enchantments, but any item of lesser than +3 magical potency is insufficient to restrain the spirit.
