Type undead lore, Amachan history

In the Horgon Era, Demacian shamans employed magic to intertwine the essence of Shou spirits into their armor. This practice of despoiling spirits and binding them down, rather than permitting them to wander freely, was an affront to the Shou. It gave rise to a profound enmity between the two peoples that has never been resolved. It also led to the defilement of Gestosu and the creation of powerful undead whenever someone wearing Gestosu Chain perished. Some of the undead that have risen from the bleak plains of Gestosu have become Dead Ancestors. These formidable undead lords are engaged in an unending war with the peoples of Shounejo and Tiya'lith.

When Thasmudyan garnered prominence within Tiya'lith society, he endeavored to have his death priests and necromancers assume dominion over the Dead Ancestors. However, this aspiration has never come to fruition, leading some to suspect that the necromancers may be the product of an evil even more formidable than the influence of Thasmudyan himself.

The deceased forebears are ethereal, undead entities akin to phantoms, spectral forms, moaning spirits, and apparitions. They possess formidable power and remarkable intelligence in comparison to their undead counterparts. Frequently, they assume the mantle of leadership over hordes of the undead, relentlessly assaulting their adversaries. Ultimately, their pursuits culminate in the annihilation of their entire contingent, including the commander. In the course of these endeavors, they have succeeded in toppling city-states.
