A Psyche Breaker is a torture device invented in the Hells by engineers serving Asmodeus. The first of these devices was specifically designed to punish Raxcvixllibus for not following orders. Psyche Breakers are large, flexible apparatuses with crystalline panels. Similar to a submersion tank, it is filled with something detrimental to the health of the creature strapped into it. The subject is fitted with some sort of regenerative device, like a ring, or nothing if they have an innate regeneration ability. Allowing for regeneration, a creature can be made to suffer near-death experiences every day from such a device. Prolonged torture of this nature often results in the subject expiring from heart failure. Skilled users of the device know how to apply just the right amount of electricity to keep the victim's heart beating - at least most of the time.
