The +3 one-handed battle-axe was forged for the head chef serving the leaders of KhatĂșlg. Crafted to function as a meat cleaver, it was commissioned by the obese and cunning ogre-magi, Sik-Kurg. During his meal preparations for a gathering of Toomrur chieftains at KhatĂșlg, Sik-Kurg found himself lacking the required amount of meat. With the assistance of a guard from the Thorarmorn Prison, a friend, the shortfall was supplemented with hobgoblin prisoners.
The banquet was a resounding success, with guests lavishing praise on the exceptional flavors of the meat. Subsequently, Sik-Kurg, the head chef, butchered numerous prisoners using his favorite meat cleaver, which he had affectionately named the Talengrak. As his wealth grew, he had the cleaver enchanted. Upon Sik-Kurg's passing from old age, the enchantments within the weapon ensnared his soul, transforming it into a sentient item. Now, it demonstrates a preference for being used in the preparation of culinary delights rather than as an instrument of wanton destruction.
