The inaugural Telek Cage was constructed at the XI Institute. It stemmed from theories that a psionic investigator gleaned from Lith-Crillion data. This data comprised scrolls and tattered books that alluded to the properties of brain fluid drawn from psionic creatures. For those versed in psionic lore, the Lith-Crillion possessed extensive knowledge regarding the weaponization of psionics and documented detailed catalogs of psionic creatures, with much of this specialized knowledge originating from The Pure. One of their most renowned creations utilizing brain fluid is the Sakamâns Kiss. During the Second Epoch, Fihrhirr - a master psionicist, researcher and tinker at the XI Institute - employed concentrated brain ichor from a telek stalker in the construction of the first Telek Cage. This device, akin to a telek stalker, serves a defensive purpose, designed to wear down opponents before executing a precise kill.

A Telek Cage resembles a sizeable bird cage. They are uniform in dimensions and composition - all 7' tall and weighing 487 lbs. The cage's bars are fabricated from High Alloy Blutium wrapped in deep crystal. These bars are mounted to a Nandistike base. The device lacks doors or any other means to physically step inside. To access the Telek Cage and harness its powers, one must employ teleportation, gaseous form, diminution, or similar abilities. The device can only be operated by an individual standing within it. If somehow two creatures find themselves inside, it becomes a test of minds to determine who assumes control, casting the other's mind into a realm of madness - a three-round mental combat resolved almost instantaneously.
