The windswept expanse of Atlasfell is dotted with a succession of earth and rock islands known as the Void Steps. Each island boasts a substantial quantity of Jurungen, which infuses them with vitality and enables the construction of an architectural wonder in the sky. The Void Steps derive their name from the fact that the uppermost steps hover so far above the surface of Marragh that they exist in a state of airlessness.
The Girderhead family holds the title to all of the Void Steps. They constructed the prestigious Girderhead Institute of War upon these lands. This premier institution of warfare maintains training grounds spanning a dozen of the Void Steps. They utilize some to instruct parachutists, with trainees descending from one Void Step to the next. The loftiest Void Steps also serve to train in light gravity and constrained or absent air conditions.
