Covenant Crèches were established as locales to educate and train mortal warriors. During the Dawn Era, graduates were dispatched to combat the primordials in the Creation War. In the ensuing age, they engaged the demons in the Demon Spawn War.
In the God Era, certain Covenant Crèches evolved into breeding grounds for radical ideologies and special interests. These were incited by those serving the higher-ups, the Higher Powers which defined the God Era. Considering the war effort more crucial than a deity's ambition to amass a mortal following, the Covenant endeavored to halt or at least constrain such activities.
