Lot 396, the initial Hive Swarm, escaped the laboratories of Cha-ka on 12 Bloom 1512 HE. Rapidly dividing and multiplying, the bug swarms devastated the surrounding region. In the subsequent epoch, this area came to be known simply as Hive. At the time, the cradle of civilization for the region was Klak-tak. Bordering this inhospitable, rugged land were verdant landscapes, both then and now. The Hive Swarms overwhelmed great holds and ancient city-states, depopulating a hundred of the Auhtai city-states surrounding Klak-tak.
