The Titans Foot Bath transforms into a shallow ocean during high tide. As the tidal forces ebb across this vast expanse, the currents can become strong and erratic. For several hours leading up to low tide, the area becomes perilous. The native water elementals of the region, sensing the impending change, grow hostile, angered that the ocean will soon recede into sand. Most of these elementals depart with the receding waters, returning to the Salzârrâk Sea. Others, or slower aquatic creatures, take refuge in the deep lakes left behind as the tide goes out. These deep lakes, visible at low tide, are saltwater cavities that plunge into the lightless, subterranean reaches below, connecting to the waters of the sea beneath.
At low tide, with the water receded save for its deep pools, the area transforms into a land bridge leading to the region of Pipe Home.
