Atlaknar is a volcanic region within Inirthak. The two most prominent landmarks in this area are the volcano Birkrarg and the ancient citadel of Krarthjar. Birkrarg, an active volcano, erupts at least once annually, typically affecting the areas to the north and west of the peak. In the broken plain north of this fiery peak lies the Titan hold of Krarthjar. Construction on this site commenced in 762 HE, two years after King Asmorgerd was exiled from the kingdom of Hofthorm.
In the Second Epoch, the Orchish Empire pushed northward, staking claim to the lands of Grashakh. One who contested this advance was the Dragon Queen of Krarthjar, a blue named Tyrinaxx. Recognizing the formidable orc armies and charismatic leader she faced, Tyrinaxx struck a deal, abandoning her petty empire to join the forces under the Ageless Emperor. Since her departure, other leaders have risen and fallen, none providing the same stability as Tyrinaxx. Today, the home of Kotharlarg, Tyrinaxx actively keeps Atlaknar and the petty lords of Krarthjar in a state of agitation.
