The Carodraks are situated in the northwestern region of Azrik. The slopes of these mountains are blanketed in shimmering, ebony-hued, translucent glass. Some of these fragments of volcanic glass are as substantial as boulders. Referred to as Carodrak Glass, in the latter stages of the First Epoch when commerce expanded with other port cities, it became a profitable export commodity.
For centuries, this region served as the epicenter of the Torgilm Confederacy (1475 - 1719). The inhabitants of the area's principal settlement, Ilfongrak, were predominantly peaceful mountain folk who aspired to cultivate a mercantile civilization.
Beneath the Carodraks lies the continent's most substantial iron deposit. This region, accessible through a multitude of mining shafts and tunnels, is Zirâg-Tharam.
