Hatosvir

Lake Hatosvir is situated in the northern reaches of Huzar-Arân. It is fed by the heated waters of the river Galsour, which begin cooling a mile out from the lake at Belfdagny and then merge with the lake. Hatosvir is a relatively shallow lake, with some areas reaching a maximum depth of two hundred feet. Except during dry spells, the lake's waters consistently overflow into natural channels that plunge downward into the Underdark. These ducts and passages serve as connections between Huzar-Arân and the sector below it. Hundreds of these channels exist, some barely noticeable and others large enough to accommodate Underdark travelers. Galsour's overflowing waters flow down these channels, returning to the super-heated regions below where the entire process begins anew. The structure responsible for this movement of water from the deeper Underdark to Galsour is known as the Kossuth Aqueduct, a marvel of divine engineering without which neither the river nor the lake would exist.
