Helagenn is a subterranean desert of the Menortamon Region. It was created during the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE) by an Earth Elemental workforce. They utilized a cluster of sonic devices to blast the area's rock, transforming it into sand and dust. Though small on a global scale, this project was one of the many primordial undertakings aimed at undoing Creation.
Today, the devices having vanished, the desert persists, a frigid and gloomy locale replete with ancient relics and other perils leftover from when the primordials employed this region to trial their instruments of obliteration.
