The Hrongeir River originates deep within the expansive Giant Steps. Commencing southeast of the Nym-Zoedine glacier, its headwaters emerge from this alpine region. The river then flows southwest through the rugged mountains, eventually descending into the Steel Pines before converging with the Ithen River.
