Built by the Orgak, this area originated as a subterranean outpost, guarding the great barrows of Mauhúlfúr. These barrows, hallowed burial sites of the Toomrur people, are the resting places of the Ogre Lords. Intricate labyrinths of traps, shifting rooms, and guardians, the proliferation of these barrows fueled rumors of the wealth concealed within.
The Inanweg outpost, tasked with addressing subterranean threats and tunneling, was expanded to confront new perils from enterprising grave robbers and the ever-wandering Scion of Krephus. The latter, more commonly referred to as purple worms, proved the most challenging to manage. Drawn to the fungi thriving near and within the barrows, they continuously burrowed inward. Many were rendered impassable by cave-ins, flooding, or magical obstruction, while the remainder formed a labyrinthine network of cavernous tunnels and security checkpoints for patrols monitoring the sprawling complex. The original outpost, growing to accommodate increased labor and trade demands, evolved into the town of Moth Orgak.
Within the Labyrinth of Inanweg are spawning ponds utilized by the cultists of Juiblex and adherents of Zuggtmoy. Each is a specialized environment purposed for the cultivation of oozes, slugs, and other viscous horrors.
