The Irôchâr Plunge is an Underdark canyon located in the eastern regions of Khelan. Extending approximately twenty miles in length, it widens to a mile near its central point. At the canyon's base, an opening leads to the undersea realm of Nielalroch, where swimmers descend to a depth of 300 feet beneath the ocean's surface upon leaving the Underdark air behind.
The Irôchâr Plunge features a series of switchbacks composed of stairs and trails, ascending approximately 400 feet from the shore. These steps were initially carved during the Dawn Era, when the city of Natar was established to function as an outpost for the forces of the Nawirrûs Covenant.
