Mitharlith is a rift situated in close proximity to the south central spur of Ugradrath. At its maximum depth, the canyon measures an astonishing four miles deep. Within this profound depression lie hundreds of smoldering pools brimming with corrosive acid and scalding water.
The depleted mines are located along the margins of this chasm. These are accessed via pathways carved into the canyon walls, some of which are extremely perilous due to a lack of upkeep. The mines harbor a sizable population of umber hulks. These creatures were once reared by the region's kobolds, but the kobolds allowed their numbers to spiral out of control, transforming them from an asset into a menace.
