Moharr is an inland saltwater lake. The uncommon water salinity, akin to seawater, of the lake is a consequence of the Fihrgrell Cap. As this glacier liquefies, its saline waters descend the Moredhel valley, converging with fresh water streams and runoff until discharging into the Moharr lake.
In the Moredhel War (1000 - 1006), refugees of Gatiranda and fleeing soldiers of the Niratar Theocracy were compelled back towards the lake. Rather than succumbing to servitude under the Khazarkars, several hundred of them elected to plunge into the lake, where they perished by drowning. Tragically, some of these individuals later returned as undead entities, such as drowned ones and salt mummies.
