The Molfath mountain range lies in the northwestern reaches of the Ice Cap region. During the Titan Era, these peaks were the stronghold of the Stone Giant nation known as the Gadstill Dynasty, which ruled the area for over a millennium from 275 HE to 1533 HE. The giants left behind a vast legacy, including sprawling palaces, intricate mountain labyrinths, extensive libraries, and towering fortifications. Today, most of these structures lie in ruin, serving as lairs for aberrations, chaos rocs, manticores, leucrottas, medusae, groaning spirits, and other horrific creatures.
In 1296, Molfath and the lush valley of Hleittil were assailed by a tempestuous maelstrom that distorted the terrain and its inhabitants.
The great eye of chaos had reshaped the mountains, moving and plucking them aside as if mere toys. It was not orderly, but rather a gaping maw, with the Sea of Entropy as its cavernous belly.
ravings from Mindshatter Prison
Hovering over the terrain for an extended period of three weeks, this Chaos Maelstrom saturated the locale with entropic energy. Regarding the summits of Molfath, they underwent substantial transformations, with some eroding into weathered spires and others altering their orientation or scattering as solitary peaks.
Across Molfath's western expanse, numerous hill giants tribes reside. Similar to many others who weathered the storm's entirety, they were transformed, growing more chaotic; some have become grotesque perversions of their former selves, akin to primordial aberrations.
