Thûlak

The fens of Thûlak are home to Bugbear, Green Troll, Graagvrii, and numerous other perilous entities. The most dangerous are demon-spawned fiendwurms that emerged from Hjalmarbrodd's excavation into an ancient Mîmêk temple complex known as Rakthîn-Mînzâg. During their exploration of this subterranean ruin, Hjalmarbrodd's soldiers battled dozens of clay golems, hundreds of undead dwarves, and a considerable number of demons. Suffering significant losses, they collapsed the tunnels and retreated to their mountain strongholds. This resulted in the disruption and weakening of ancient sigils and seals, occasionally releasing fiendwurms, war engines from the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE), and other long-dormant terrors.
