The Tiyalashe plains are situated in the northeastern region of Ara'phis, extending into the southern part of Narbuzad. This area was once home to herds of normal-sized animals. However, late in the Horgon Era, the arrival of the Ark of Devgwer, an island that had been unnaturally severed from Gorejun (see Devgwer Rip), introduced thousands of dinosaurs to the region. The predatory dinosaurs subsequently decimated the local population of smaller herd animals, replacing them with larger and more robust dinosaur herds. As a result, Tiyalashe has become a haven for these fearsome creatures, rendering it an exceptionally dangerous place to visit. Civilizations on the fringes of this area have constructed towering walls and only dispatch patrols or hunting parties into Tiyalashe when mounted on tamed dinosaurs. While some groups do utilize raptors as mounts, this is a rare practice due to the high meat requirements and unpredictable nature of these predators.
