Troll Bogs is a region situated in the southeastern corner of Brucrumus. The neighboring regions include the Lands of Purity to the east, the Clans region to the north, and the Northern Hordelands to the northeast. On the opposite side, the Troll Bogs overlooks the waters of the Pearl or the vast waves of the Mephigax.

Most of the Troll Bogs region is blanketed in wetlands; a diverse array, encompassing deep ponds and lakes encircled by fens, lengthy expanses of marshes interlaced with myriad tributaries - a veritable labyrinth for those lacking the capacity for aerial navigation.

The wetland state of the region is not a product of Creation, but rather a consequence of war. During the Creation War, the primordial Sarseg created a rift in the Web of Magic, which opened an inter-system bridge between the worlds Throndar and Bal-Kriav. This allowed water to pour through the rift, filling the basin that would become Lake Radullu, a high-altitude lake with hundreds of cascades, all flowing southward. Over the course of thousands of years, the overall flatness of the land in the direction of Ara'phis and Chen'gom resulted in the formation of a vast wetland region.

In the Creation War, the threat of primordial attacks through the Radullu Rift led to the construction of fortifications along what Benevolence cartographers had designated with the Supernal term Nôchulûn. This area was then classified as a bay, freely flowing westward into the saline waves of the Mephigax Ocean. By the Horgon Era, the bay had become a vast inland sea, clogged by the environmental problems stemming from the rift and its Radullu Creep. In the First Epoch, Tragarans from the Lands of Purity named it the Bog Sea. Two millennia had passed since the bay had been largely isolated from the Mephigax. Sediment and vegetation had divided the sea, leaving the western region a mixture of fresh and salt water, while the eastern side, beyond Belnêth, had become an inland freshwater expanse. Thereafter, the otherworldly waters pushed southward from Belnêth, transforming the lower Chen'gom into a wetland.

In spring and summer, numerous waterways of the area become inundated with expansive colonies of shambog. This results in flooding and the formation of additional swamps that persist through autumn.

Creatures traversing the wetlands face an equal risk of perishing from vicious entities like trolls, will-o-wisps, Graagvrii, and Viidostor as they do from ailments such as dysentery, malaria, and other virulent diseases. Those journeying along the Bog Sea may encounter the magnificent coral cities of Nordern or be confronted by war canoes, galleys, and vessels brimming with Nemegral raiders.

In the Demon Spawn War, the region served as a battlefield for the forces of Semuanya and those under the demon lord Sess'innek. The remnants of those conflicts are scattered throughout the area. Most of these ancient forts and castles are situated in the water. Some were constructed in that manner due to the large numbers of semi-aquatic soldiers like Graagvrii and trolls, and later scrags, while others were submerged by the Radullu Creep.

A lost city of the Lith-Crillion is said to exist in the heart of this dismal place, whether it lies submerged or buried in some deep jungle remains undetermined. In the southern reaches, deep in Sinarag, stands the Pyramid of Alchemy. The area surrounding this pyramid is unusually warm, rainy, and teeming with insects and natural predators of colossal proportions. Locals attribute the pyramid as the cause of the unusual tropical heat, swarming insects, and frequent tropical storms.

The underside of this region is Slilp-Urp.
