The Belnêth is a river delta situated within the Troll Bogs sector Chen'gom. This region encompasses numerous mires, densely overgrown wetlands, a labyrinth of minor waterways, several sizeable channels, and two sizable lakes. To the west lies the Mephigax ocean. Some of Belnêth's more expansive channels possess sufficient depth to facilitate the passage of vessels from the inland Bog Sea to the crashing surf of Mephigax.
Belnêth, much like numerous aqueous regions within the Troll Bogs, is afflicted by a plant species known as shambog. Whenever a considerable number of these plants congregate, they possess the capacity to conceal a pool, obstruct a stream, and clog a channel. The waterways of Belnêth are frequently impeded by expansive shambog colonies.
These plants pose no life-threatening danger to the fish, crabs, and other creatures that derive sustenance from the waterways. Shambog is nutrient-rich and airy, not sapping the oxygen from the water like some algal blooms. In the lands of Zomaar Yelvaad, huts, towers, and even a city float upon islands of shambog. They are never without food, as shambog is edible and palatable. Carnivores find it challenging to consume this plant, but when game is scarce, I have observed dire wolves ingesting the substance.
