On 12 Temporal 1460 DE, a Creationist named Balthioul established Sphere 415, a world within the Asteraoth System. Presently known as Throndar, it remained a contested territory for much of the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE). Throndar held great interest to the primordials, as it possessed erratic connections to the Web and vulnerabilities that could be exploited to open a rift. The Covenant, their opposition, fought to prevent the primordials from gaining control of Throndar's weak points.
On Throndar, the initial rifts were exit points for those emerging from the Sea of Chaos. Once the primordials crossed over, they sought out other regions capable of supporting the opening of rifts to the fledgling worlds of both the Asteraoth and Quara'tun systems. One example of these rifts was opened in 1688 DE, as an inter-system rift was established between Throndar and the world of Bal-Kriav. This rift, later known as the Radullu Rift, served as a path of invasion for Sarseg and his archon army.
On the seventeenth of Hollow in the year 8337 of the Dawn Era, Sarseg, bitter with defeat, returned to Throndar. He severed the world's connection to the Web of Magic, transforming it into a realm devoid of magical power. The Eenkai who came to inhabit Bal-Kriav claim their ancestral homeworld is also bereft of the divine, a world of godless heathens.
