The Valor Shrine is an awe-inspiring, 250-foot-tall structure constructed of basalt and inlaid with bronze, dedicated to the god Ares. Situated on a plateau overlooking the Tinas River, this sacred site serves as a hallowed ground for the knights of the Council of Bile. Adorning the shrine are towering statues, six of knights mounted on warhorses and two on blue dragons, as well as a colossal blackstone construct depicting the deity Ares. This mighty statue is said to have single-handedly vanquished a gold dragon that sought to raze the shrine. Leading to the shrine, the plateau steps are lined with finely carved basins containing copper tanks that hold the vile swarms known as bloodbloater oozes. These malevolent entities are unleashed during times of war sacrifice, consuming the blood of prisoners and any who dare to cross their path.
The Valor Shrine is situated to the northwest of Port Bile and commands a panoramic view of the Swathe of Ares, a vast gorge brimming with the innumerable skeletal remains of past sacrificial offerings to Ares. Five miles south of the Valor Shrine lies the town of Takarnan, a holding under the jurisdiction of the Council of Bile. The Valor Shrine stands as a revered pilgrimage destination for devotees of Ares.
