Viing Lok is the designation of a gigantic cavern within the Vul Sahsir region. The sheer scale of this cavern allows dragons and other sizable winged creatures to maneuver with ease. The cavern's ceiling, measuring up to five miles in height in certain sections, is upheld by countless stalagmites stretching from floor to ceiling, with tens of thousands spanning the cavern's immense expanse. Some of these colossal formations serve as lairs for beasts, monsters, and humanoid inhabitants. Over the eons, dragons have meticulously shaped Viing Lok to facilitate their effortless aerial movements throughout the cavernous area.
In certain regions, obstructions and other dangers have been eliminated by dragons or their servitors to mitigate the risk to airborne traffic. Given the area's relative darkness, proficient flight requires practicing the routes and committing the safe corridors to memory, as a dragon traveling at full velocity may readily exceed the limits of its dark-adapted vision, leaving only fleeting moments to adjust course and avert collision.
