Methane Pods are prevalent in expansive swamplands like Sareon and Ghar-Lakh. These particular plants extract methane from the decomposition of organic matter. The methane amasses within a substantial, balloon-like sac tethered to a massive trunk and cloaked in vines.
The sac can be ruptured by inflicting six or more hit points of piercing damage. If punctured, the sac will violently explode within a radius of 10 to 40 feet, depending on the size of the plant. The concentrated methane gas released has effects akin to a stinking cloud spell. The noxious fumes will linger in the area for 2 to 12 rounds.
