Necrotic energy arises from the blending of soul energy and Unholy Energy. This potent force empowers life-draining attacks, such as the aura of spirits enveloping death giants, a wizard's deadly spell, and other forms of necromantic sorcery.
Maen Grirngrim was the first to harness this type of energy for practical use. He devised the spells Consumptive Field from Healing Circle, Death Knell from Death Ward, and Slay Living from Raise Dead, modifying the parameters of these incantations by substituting the life energy components with those of necrotic energy.
