Isharg, a dwarven clan, emerged from the kingdom of Gimhak. It was formed through the union of two other clans joined in matrimony. Five years after the clan adopted its name, they were chosen by random selection to serve as colonists, a decision believed to have political motivations. In 1415 HE, they embarked on a southeastern journey and established the settlement of Anarukthalan six months later.
In 1255, the Orchish Empire besieged the city of Anarukthalan. After the settlement was decimated and lay in ruin, the Isharg inhabitants were apprehended and mercilessly slaughtered. This devastating action was directed by the High Command as retaliation for analogous acts of genocide perpetrated under the orders of their adversaries.
