In 702, colonists from Akthol-Tharag ventured far east in pursuit of a rumored mysterious substance, purported to be valuable in alchemical explosives. A year later, at the head of a moraine valley they christened Turkosh, they established the settlement of Chunswornkrak.

The Chunswornkrak clan leaders commenced inquiries into self-governance (consequently establishing an autonomous city-state) a few years after the settlement's inception. This transpired due to the sporadic contact and communication between the mother kingdom Akthol-Tharag and this distant outpost. In 723, their petition for independence was approved, heralding the dawn of the kingdom Nathargundu.
