Ottanghild was established by goliath pioneers from
Hel. The settlement was constructed at the base of a glacier, its harbor facing northward into the
Ognar
fjord. Reaching Ottanghild by land is arduous, requiring a day-long descent from the surrounding cliffs. The sea remains the preferred method of transport, though it is not without its own perils, such as icebergs and predators inhabiting Ongar's frigid depths.
Ottanghild has long been a haven for pirates, resulting in a multicultural population of diverse races. The frost giants of the town are likely the most uncommon, as those dwelling here favor the open ocean over the mountains. The majority of these giants can trace their lineages to two families that migrated to Ottanghild from
Netheram, seeking a new abode away from the relentless warmongering of Netheram's jarls.
