The Aculeate was an army of insects formed from the merging of numerous Hive Swarms. It comprised all varieties of insects - fliers, hoppers, and crawling types. They were of the stinging kind, technically referred to as aculeates. The exceptional mobility and offensive capabilities of the Aculeate made it one of the most formidable forces ever encountered by the peoples of Gulimbor and Azrik.
In the Locust Encroachment (1412 - 1694), the Aculeate faced catastrophic setbacks from Ba'lith's formidable southern fortifications, particularly their potent Sonic Horns. Expeditions into Gulimbor, seeking a means to bypass the disruptive sound waves, culminated in starvation in the rugged highlands of Siganbul.
