On 4 War March 1001 HE, the Kuladul empire was established by the hobgoblin warlord Barog. He founded a warlike nation that battled outsiders as well as their own kind. The internal strife stemmed from the Kuladul's hobgoblins, a people perpetually craving combat, vying with one another for greater martial prowess. Outsiders often joked that even the family units were designated squads, with the mother or father, depending on fighting ability and charisma, serving as the household's leader and commander. For nearly two millennia, Carororn, the empire's capital, functioned as the center of a warlike nation controlling a vast expanse of the Irazaggumak valley and parts of the Khizunul mountains.

In the First Epoch, Phlehorn's eastern expansion led to conflict with Kuladul. This resulted in numerous battles and six successive wars. During the last of these, the Sixth Siguzilbak War (776 - 784), Carororn lay besieged for five arduous years. At the time, the empire had become a mere shadow of its former grandeur. Though they had long reveled in warfare, the ongoing conflicts with the Rúmil to the east and Phlehorn to the west had taken a heavy toll. Weakened by these protracted wars and in need of assistance, the Kuladul had also become a tributary state to the Andigimok. Finally, in 784, with the fall of their capital, the empire ceased to exist. With its population centers now under enemy control, the Kuladul's hobgoblins were encouraged to relocate elsewhere.
