The Gyalech bloodline was formed between a Dromite of male characteristics named Jaqad and one of the opposite named Fela. Jaqad was appointed as the Elected Consort, while Fela became the Grand Queen. Due to the exceptional qualities of their eggs, Jaqad was granted the status of a permanent consort, which was an uncommon practice. However, these were challenging times in the Buccaneer Archipelago, and the Dromites required an increase in their population. The Gyalech had proven this new approach to be highly fruitful. At Zerot, their efforts helped stabilize the declining Dromite numbers over the course of several decades.
In 1473, they established an oligarchic system, composed of the four brothers and their gangs, who collectively designated themselves the League of Gyalech.
