The self-proclaimed ruler of the swamp Theruleth is Groggumblus, a rogue death slaad gated in centuries ago by the Mad Wizard Flay. This wizard met his demise when Groggumblus formed an alliance with the hag Thryunkian. After Flay's defeat, Groggumblus seized control of his keep Tridrak and subsequently subdued several prominent Graagvrii tribes. His dominion expanded further, encompassing groups of trolls and forging alliances with a number of black dragons.
