The Articles of War were drafted during the Creation War ( 1486 DE - 8777 DE ) by the then archangel Ares. The articles outlined the lawful procedures for conducting warfare.
In the God Era, some adopted a more aggressive approach to the successful prosecution of war. For those like Asmodeus, dealing with evils such as demons warranted the use of excessive and unethical measures. The incorporation of these decisions into the Articles of War, along with other more serious matters, precipitated a shakeup in the Quara'tun Covenant, ultimately resulting in Asmodeus and his lieutenants becoming Fallen Angels.
Despite the antiquity of these wartime conventions, they remain widely observed among lawful societies.
