Belt of Heads

Category Magic Items
Type belt
Location Gruumsh

After the Maeraddyth Brigade assaulted Sathumort's palace on Nasudex, evidence was gathered for use in demoralizing the demon forces besieging another great bastion, in a far away system. The severed head of the slain demon lord Sathumort was attached to a magical belt, shrinking it down to miniature size. It was hastily taken back to the rift and then displayed upon Liamenor's wrecked battlements. This so demoralized the besieging army that chaos ensued, with most hurrying back to their rift and home. Concurrently, the Maeraddyth Brigade rushed back to the rift from the other direction, but never made it. Years later, General Maeraddyth, having been captured by the demons and transformed into an Orc, returned to Liamenor and discovered the forgotten belt. After donning the item, he felt the vigor of youth and learned that he no longer aged. Over the centuries that followed, nine more heads were added to the belt, the crowning one being the head of the goblin god Maglubiyet.

The Belt of Heads is believed to possess additional powers, with each severed head imbuing the belt with a unique ability or characteristic. It is rumored that when a head is detached from the belt, it disintegrates into dust, rendering it impossible, even for the mightiest of entities, to resurrect the individual.
